We build outdoor spaces from the materials of this region — fieldstone from the piedmont, plants native to the Brandywine watershed, craft passed between hands on site.

Process

Walk the land

Every project begins on site. We study the grade, the light, the soil, and the existing plant community before drawing a single line.

Draw from the site

Designs emerge from what the land offers — a slope suggests a terrace, a wet spot becomes a rain garden, a ledge anchors a wall.

Build through the seasons

Stonework goes in first, defining structure. Planting follows in the right window. Hardscape and softscape progress together, not in sequence.
4
Steward what grows

A landscape is never finished. We return seasonally to manage the meadow, guide the plantings, and tend what we built.
